KOMM MIT Youth Promotion Prize 2024: Financial Support for International Sports Encounters

With the Youth Promotion Prize, KOMM MIT, since 1998, has been supporting soccer clubs every year in providing their teams with unforgettable international sports experiences. In 2024, three outstanding clubs will once again be pleased to receive funding to participate in KOMM MIT's international youth soccer tournaments in Europe.
1st place: JSG Blankenrath (Rhineland Football Association)

First place goes to JSG Blankenrath, which with a Funding grant of 10,000 euros is honored. With this support, two teams (U17 and U13) will become Mediterranean Trophy travel to Spain, which takes place at Easter 2025. Up to 3,000 children from ten nations are expected to attend the multi-day event. Trainer Frank Sabel was enthusiastic:

“Thanks to KOMM MIT for this prize. Since 2008, participation in Easter tournaments has been an integral part of our JSG. We find time and time again that, in our opinion, there is no easier way to build a team than this trip. Be it within the team structure as well as the cooperation of the teams. This generous price enables or makes it easier for families with several interested children to participate. A big thank you to the KOMM MIT team for the many years of good cooperation and support in planning trips and staying on site. ”

2nd place: TSV Allmendingen (Württemberg Football Association)

With 5,000 euros in funding TSV Allmendingen secures second place. The team is looking forward to the Istria Cup in Croatia, which takes place at Easter 2025. Trainer Dennis Gienger, who travels with five teams and almost 70 children, said:

“A podium finish for our TSV Allmendingen before a soccer ball even rolls is, of course, a great thing for us [...] The kids are still raving about the trip from that time and that makes me happy and proud. It's worth the effort and numerous hours of work in advance and it also brings the kids together enormously,” he added. Participating in the tournament not only strengthens team spirit, but also creates memories that go far beyond the soccer field.

3rd place: SG Bockum Hövel (Football and Athletics Association of Westphalia)

Third place goes to SG Bockum Hövel, who with 2,500 euros in funding for the Orange Cup travels to the Netherlands, which takes place on Ascension Day 2025.

“Thanks to this support, we can make it possible for every child and the coaches to participate in the tournament in Holland — it's simply fantastic! We have collected donations with great dedication, but this profit really makes a big difference,” explains association representative Carsten Edelkotter. With 15 children and their families, SG Bockum Hövel is looking forward to a special experience together. “We hope that the trip will be unforgettable for the children and will allow them to grow not only sportively but also as a team. ”
