Health Education
Health through exercise
Balance, exercise, nutrition, well-being without any physical, psychological and social disturbance: Health has various definitions. Often it is just a snapshot. Nevertheless, we can have an influence on this and have a positive effect on our health. Developing an awareness of the body and learning important aspects of the body and our health through sport — this is what we try to make possible for children and adolescents. For decades, we have been working with various partners in the area of “health”, thus repeatedly setting priorities in health education for children and adolescents.
Our world has always been in a state of constant change. So do the conditions under which we grow up. However, a few factors have hardly changed over the years, decades and centuries: exercise, nutrition and prevention.
We would like to teach children and young people some of these few factors for a healthy lifestyle at an early stage. From the point of view of health education, we address nutrition before, during and after sport, the importance of physical exertion (exercise) and preventive behavior on topics such as sun protection, non-smoking and abstinence from alcohol.
Each year, the E-Youth Cup brings 20,000 children together and since 2002 has generated over 847.752€ in donations.
Cooperation with German Children's Cancer Aid
We are currently working with the German Children's Cancer Aid. Under the motto “Looking to the future — be clever, live healthy”, we work with them to explain health-related topics. Learning essential content through play in a positive environment, or arousing interest in these topics, plays a special role here.
As a highlight, we are giving away a voucher for participation in one of our international sporting events once a year as part of the nationwide E-Youth Cup in favour of German Children's Cancer Aid.
