My Team is Europe!

Our Europe, as we know it today, is the result of the efforts of recent decades to create a place that, despite its diversity, is more united than dividing differences. Europe means: Diversity in pre-schools, schools, universities, companies and public institutions. Border-free travel as a sign of borderless hospitality, as an invitation to experience this diversity — to feel: That is Europe.

At KOMM MIT, we are convinced Europeans. Over the last few decades, the European Community has ensured peace in Europe and created the foundations for health and prosperity.

We want future generations to be able to experience these benefits as well. It is therefore a matter close to our hearts to convey the European idea to children and young people. Sport, in particular football, is our global means of communication here. We want to communicate complex issues and behaviours in a playful way.

If we look at Europe as a grassroots association, an association that is made for everyone, in which you are happy about successes but do not define yourself by them but always keep an eye on the path, the common path of all participants, then a complex Europe quickly becomes more tangible.

A grassroots association is the place where all people, regardless of where they come from, are welcome, where everyone can get involved, and everyone is committed to a common cause, in which attention is paid to the old as well as to the young generations and where both generations support each other. Because without the experience of the “older people” and without the motivation of the “younger”, the association (and Europe) would have no future.

Football is therefore our means of bringing the Europe of tomorrow together at an early stage. With our events and funding projects, we want to promote solidarity and bring tomorrow's generation together today. Living these values, we want to show that we have much more in common than we think and that the impossible is possible through respect and acceptance.

International youth exchanges are one of the most important prerequisites for a functioning pan-European and global balance.

By international youth exchange, we understand the totality of phenomena and relationships resulting from the planned meeting of exclusively young people of different nationalities. International youth meetings have become a necessity more than ever, particularly in the area of extracurricular youth education and youth work. With our slogan “ALLTOGETHER”, we would like to draw attention to this need at our numerous events throughout the year.
